Learn to Lead. Lead to Inspire.
With Canada’s only Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and minor in Leadership and Civic Studies, Wilson College is a place where students can cultivate their courage to lead and their passion to inspire.
Working from a foundation in the liberal arts, we focus on ethics, responsibility and service – helping our students develop the historical context and societal awareness that are the hallmarks of truly great civic and community leaders.

About Us
Made possible by a $50 million gift from McMaster chancellor emeritus L.R. “Red” Wilson, Wilson College is a first-of-its-kind program that emphasizes the importance of collaboration between McMaster’s academic community and our local, regional and national leaders in building a stronger Canada and sustainable, resilient communities.
Wilson College is a partnership between McMaster’s Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences, offering a unique approach to leadership education, experiential learning, community action and interdisciplinary research.
The cornerstone of our academic programming is our combined honours Bachelor of Arts degree. Students in this program receive a joint BA both in Leadership and Civic Studies and in a program offered by the Faculty of Humanities or the Faculty of Social Sciences.
