To further our mission of research and teaching in leadership and civic engagement, Wilson College is launching two dynamic podcasts. These podcasts will directly support three of the College’s five foundational pillars: research, practice, and leading public conversation.
The podcasts aim to:
- Amplify co-creative thinking and foster new lines of inquiry among students, faculty, and community members.
- Serve as a platform for applied learning, providing our students with real-world media production and communication skills.
- Support the College in shaping public discourse and strengthening our role as a hub for generating innovative ideas, encouraging active citizenship, and advancing the public good

Canada’s 8 million young people (15 to 29) are more than participants in democracy; they are drivers of change and their voices matter. In this entirely student-produced podcast, Wilson College students take center stage as hosts, storytellers, and curious minds. They will draw from a range of disciplines which inform the field of leadership and civic studies, as well as the insights of those who practice leadership and civic action in community. The student podcast will serve as a conduit to stimulate thoughtful and timely discussion and debate.

Hosted by Sara Wolfe, External Director of Wilson College, each episode invites listeners to join in honest, critical conversations about reimagining civic life and leadership. With a futurist lens, the show dives into the “how” – unpacking the processes, collaborations, and breakthroughs behind today’s most inspiring civic solutions.
